About Greater Boston Psychiatric Services
We provide psychopharmacological (i.e., psychiatric medication) treatment for adults 18 and over. We have extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and a wide range of other psychiatric disorders.
We work collaboratively with clients in developing a treatment plan focused on target symptoms in a pressure-free environment. Our approach incorporates traditional and complementary therapies, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other healthy lifestyle changes.
We also provide Substance Use Evaluations required by the Massachusetts RMV for individuals addressing DUI or OUI convictions, complete with a Risk of Recidivism assessment.

Thomas Smith

Tom Smith is an experienced leader in healthcare. Tom currently handles the administrative and financial side of GBPS. Tom has experience in healthcare leadership, start-ups, expansions and consulting. Tom has a Master in Health Care Administration from Framingham State University, a Bachelor degree from Boston College and an Associates Degree in Nursing from Regis College.
Caryn Metzger

Caryn Metzger is the owner of Greater Boston Psychiatric Services, opening the practice in September 2016.. Caryn is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than 15 years of psychiatric nursing experience. She is Board Certified as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Caryn completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Northeastern University. Caryn has expertise in psychiatric evaluation and medication management, with a particular interest in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. Caryn takes a multi-faceted approach to client care, including education, collaboration, and a focus on the "whole person" in order to help them improve their lives and sustain their progress.
Susan Ouellette
MS, CRNP, PMHNP-BC
Susan Ouellette is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing medication management and psychotherapy for over 38 years. Sue treats adult individuals with chronic mental and emotional conditions. She focuses on helping her patients navigate and thrive through life’s issues and transitions such as relationships, school & career, grief & loss, and anxiety & depression. Sue also helps her patients with specific challenges including poor sleep, pain, and weight loss and management via clinical hypnotherapy. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and medication management of mental illness and psychological disorders. Sue has advanced education and training and is nationally certified to practice in the field of psychiatry. She received her education from the University of Maryland School of Nursing.
Jill A. Forte
MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC
Jill is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 7 years of experience in the nursing field. Jill provides care for adults 18 years and older with a variety of mental and emotional conditions. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and eating disorders. Jill has a strong interest in the mind-body connection and enjoys providing health and lifestyle education to her patients. She believes in a collaborative and individualized approach to care. As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Jill provides initial diagnostic evaluation, ongoing medication management, and brief psychotherapy. Jill obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MCPHS and her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College. She also has specialized experience working at an eating disorder residential treatment program. Outside of work, Jill enjoys practicing yoga and holds a certification as a yoga instructor.
Jessica Crawford-Grey

Jessica has been working as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult mental health since 2014. She has experience in caring for patients with mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse issues, PTSD and psychotic disorders. Her philosophy is to create a partnership with clients and base their care around a mutual respect and trust. This allows for a collective effort of helping the client obtain what they need to fulfill their goals. Jessica received her Bachelor of Nursing from Duke University, her Master of Nursing from Wilkes University.
Kristen Baker, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Kristen Baker, NP, is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with expertise in adult psychiatric and psychopharmacology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Minor in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2006. She spent many years of practice at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA, and went on to earn her Master of Advanced Practice Nursing in 2011. She holds a board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. For over 20 years, Kristen has had the privilege to help support those who struggle with mental illness. She currently works with individuals to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic formulations, provide evidence-based psycho-pharmacology treatment, and counseling. She has experience working with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. She is also certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which has helped her support those with more severe challenges even further. Kristen has a great passion for her work and enjoys supporting clients to meet their individual goals. She welcomes all people to meet with her, embracing diversity and treating everyone with care and compassion. She understands that there is not a “one size fits all” approach and values the differences of each person she supports. She is always happy to collaborate with other trusted care team members upon request.
Mia Copeland-Brock
MSN, PMHNP-BC
Mia Copeland-Brock is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a diverse clinical background in emergency nursing, primary care, and community mental health. Her interest in mental health began during her undergraduate studies at Smith College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She later completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Mia has experience treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions in adult populations, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Her approach to mental health care is holistic and informed by the belief that a person's intersectional identity plays a critical role in shaping their treatment experience. She is dedicated to serving a diverse clientele and is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have faced adversity or marginalization.
